Tshwane Place of Safety Charity Drive

What an amazing time we had on our drive from KIA Menlyn to our meeting destination at Castle Gate Lifestyle and then to the Tshwane Place of Safety to drop off the donations we’d been collecting from 16 September 2021. Members of the public were encouraged to drop donations off at our sponsors KIA Menlyn and Tiger Wheel and Tyre Menlyn stores.

One if the best experiences with putting the drive together was our radio interview with DJ Zinhle at Impact Radio. We can tell you that a prepared speech never goes to plan on live radio when the nerves take over!

Now we had a few other groups that wanted to join us on the day but the highlight was certainly when the Koup Lifestyle Club showed up with around 26 members in their individual KIA Koups! Got the call when they were about 3 minutes out and we could already hear them coming. With pops and bangs these guys sure know how to make an entrance! A big thank you to the monetary donation they collected for the day!

Off to the childrens home we went in a convoy of 42 cars, hazards and hooting, pops and bangs. What a spectacular site it was.

We were welcomed by Jeanette and her team and 6 beautiful children with open arms. Such a humbling experience when you consider that the home looks after 200 children and 80 households across the Pretoria region.

Some tears and much love shared amongst everybody we spent some quality time with the staff and kids.
